Marion Krämer has been working at DEval since November 2018. At DEval she leads a research project on the generation and use of rigorous impact evaluation in German Development Cooperation. Marion graduated in economics with a focus on development economics and empirical economic research (M. Sc.) from the University of Heidelberg and holds a PhD in development economics from the University of Göttingen. As a post-doctoral researcher in the research training group ‘Transformation of Global Agri-Food Systems’(GlobalFood) at the University of Göttingen, she worked on topics related to food and nutrition security, health and social security. In addition to her fieldwork in India, she conducted qualitative research in Bolivia and Bangladesh.
Ms Krämer gathered practical experiences in development cooperation during several internships, consultancies and research stay among others at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and at the UNICEF headquarters in New York.
